The red leaves of cypress trees in Guangzhou have not yet completely fallen. The cherry trees have blossomed with the coming of spring. This year's cherry blossoms hit their peak one month earlier than usual. People can enjoy these pretty pink flowers before the Spring Festival.
The main places where visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms now include the Pandanus Garden (露兜园) and the Cherry Blossom Garden (樱花园) in the South China National Botanical Garden. At present, most of the flowers are "Prunus campanulata (钟花樱)" variety. "Jiangshan Meiren (江山美人)", "Tianshihong (天适红)", "Guangzhou Cherry (广州樱)", "Wangdi (旺地)", and other varieties will also blossom one after another.
