Update: 2024-10-14     Source: GDToday

The highly anticipated 2024 Guangzhou Gourmet Week is being held from October 12 to 16 at the iconic Haixinsha Asian Games Park, with the city's stunning skyline as its backdrop. This year, the event brings together Michelin-starred restaurants, Black Pearl Guide-recognized eateries, time-honored brands, and incredible street food from across China. This year’s food festival also coincides with the 136th Canton Fair. Guangzhou aims to provide its international visitors with not only successful business dealings but also an unforgettable gourmet experience.

A Culinary Extravaganza

The festival has attracted over 100 high-end dining brands. At Haixinsha, the festival sets up gourmet food streets, creating a one-stop carnival for food enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy free access to the event while taking in the picturesque views of Haixinsha, Canton Tower, and the Pearl River, all while indulging in high-quality cuisine that reflects the latest culinary trends.

Exclusive Discounts and Digital Integration

In collaboration with Guangdong UnionPay’s "Cloud QuickPass," the festival offers special deals at over 100 participating dining brands, including discounts like "Spend 800 yuan, save 80 yuan" and "30% off with in-app purchases." The event also introduces a new food network platform, allowing visitors to explore activities, play interactive games, and collect discount vouchers through the GGW WeChat mini-program. This seamless integration of online and offline experiences offers a personalized journey for festival-goers.

Welcoming Global Guests to Guangzhou

This year’s food festival coincides with the 136th Canton Fair. With top-tier cuisine, Guangzhou welcomes more than 260,000 business representatives from over 200 countries and regions. In addition to the food festival, the city will host several major events, including the Guangzhou International Food Festival, which has run for 26 consecutive years, and the largest coffee culture and arts festival in China. Key shopping districts, tourist attractions, and five-star hotels will enhance the visitor experience with a focus on dining, lodging, transportation, entertainment, and shopping.

Guangzhou aims to provide its international visitors with not only successful business dealings but also unforgettable travel memories. With its distinct blend of Chinese traditions and global appeal, the city is poised to showcase the best of Guangdong cuisine and culture to the world, inviting visitors to experience the city’s unique charm and vibrant energy.
