June 27th marked the 500-day countdown to the 15th National Games of China.
Following the spectacle of a thousand drones illuminating the sky over Guangzhou on June 26th, many cities in Guangdong lit up their landmarks on the evening of the 27th to celebrate the 500-day countdown to the 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and 9th National Special Olympic Games.
The 15th National Games will take place in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao from November 9 to 21 next year.
It is China's largest and most influential comprehensive sports event at the highest level.
It will also be the first time that Hong Kong and Macao host a national sports event with such a profound influence and significance.
