On August 8, the "2023 Guangzhou Culture and Tourism Promotion" event was held at the Guangzhou Culture & Art Centre, releasing the city's new culture and tourism promotion video, travel routes, coupons worth 20 million RMB, and so on. Officials and their families from the Consulates General of 33 countries in Guangzhou were invited to the event.

At the event, many art troupes from Guangzhou performed Cantonese opera, group dance, a street dance combined with Kung Fu, symphony, dance drama, and acrobatics for audiences, demonstrating the new look of Guangzhou's cultural and artistic development. 

In the first half of 2023, Guangzhou received 97 million tourists, an increase of 58.2%. To provide tourists with a more diversified experience of the city's allure, the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau recommended the "YOUNG Guangzhou Top 10 Culture and Tourism Routes", which is divided into five parts: "Yummy", "Open", "Unique", "Night", and "Graceful".
