On July 28, Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its opening of the Dubai-Guangzhou route. 

Operated by the Airbus A380, this route is scheduled everyday on a weekly basis. Taking off from Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 00:15 am (local time), it will arrive at Dubai International Airport at 04:05 am (local time). 

"Emirates' Dubai-Guangzhou route has achieved significant development in the past 15 years and has contributed to the exchange and cooperation between the peoples of the two cities and beyond. Emirates will continue to expand its route network and provide more convenient and comfortable services for Chinese passengers," Adam Li, Emirate Airline’s Vice President China said. 

This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. According to Adam, this initiative has played an important role in Emirates’ success in the Guangzhou market and promoted economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between China and countries along the Belt and Road. 

Starting from 12 pm on August 1, the departure and arrival halls of the airline will be adjusted from T2 to T1. Here is the first outbound and inbound flight information: 

Emirates was the first Middle Eastern airline to operate flights to Guangzhou and was also the first airline in the Middle East to establish air connectivity to and from the Chinese mainland. 

Since 2008, Emirates has operated nearly 9,000 flights between Dubai and Guangzhou, providing convenient and efficient air transport service to more than 3.29 million passengers on this route in the past 15 years.
