Experiencing spring flowers in gardens with exotic charm

As spring approaches, spectacular flower blooms have attracted thousands of people to the outdoors. In the following parks, tourists can not only experience spring flowers, but also learn the history of the sister cities of Guangzhou.

Frankfurt Garden in Liuhua Lake Park (流花湖公园法兰克福花园)

Guangzhou and Frankfurt, a city in Germany, established friendly relations on April 11, 1988, and this year marks the 35th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between the two cities. Since then, the two sides have promoted economic, trade, culture, education, and sports exchanges.

Frankfurt Garden is a gift from Frankfurt to celebrate the 2210th anniversary of the founding of Guangzhou.

Frankfurt Garden recently completed an update, planting about 3600 Chinese roses, including 11 new Chinese rose varieties.

Friendship Garden in Yuntai Park (云台花园谊园)

Handroanthus chrysanthus in the Friendship Garden of Yuntai Park have bloomed.

The Friendship Garden of Yuntai Park witnesses the achievements of peace and friendship worldwide. Since 1996, there have been 16 gifts presented by 11 sister cities of Guangzhou and associations, and nine friendship trees planted by mayors or consuls general from five countries.

The red wooden house in the Friendship Garden was constructed by 12 students and teachers from Linkoping, Sweden, when they visited Guangzhou from March 1 to 11, 2000. The construction materials of the house were imported from Sweden.

The Frankfurt Giant Jug was presented by Frankfurt, Germany, the sister city of Guangzhou.

Friendship Garden in Yuexiu Park (越秀公园广州-洛杉矶友谊花园)

The Guangzhou-Los Angeles Friendship Garden in Yuexiu Park covers an area of 1500 square meters, and marks the friendship between the two cities. On December 8, 1981, Los Angeles of the US established a friendly relationship with Guangzhou and became Guangzhou's second international sister city.
