On March 31, the Zhongguancun Forum and World Green Design Forum were held in Beijing, where Guangzhou's Baiyun district was awarded the title of "World Green Design Capital". This honor signifies Chinese cities stepping into the forefront of international sustainable development.

The Guangzhou Design Capital Industrial Park in Baiyun district serves as the core area for promoting innovation in the green design industry, with a planned area of 2 square kilometers. It focuses on attracting various design industries and upstream and downstream clusters, making it the largest design industry cluster in the country.
By the end of 2024, the park had attracted over 400 high-quality innovative enterprises, gathering more than 10,000 design innovation professionals.

Regarding ecological development, in 2024, Baiyun completed the enhancement and expansion of over 7,800 mu (520 hectares) of forests and created more than 1,200 mu (80 hectares) of waterbird ecological corridors.
