Themed on plum blossoms appreciation, the 2025 Luogang Xiangxue Cultural Season kicked off on December 29 at Guangzhou's Luogang Xiangxue Park, a park boasting beautiful blooming scenery in winter created by its thousands of plum trees.
The words Xiangxue, meaning“fragrant snow” in Chinese, poetically refers to fragrant white plum blossoms that look like snow from afar. In 1963, "Luogang Xiangxue" was named one of the Eight Views of Guangzhou.
The plum blossoms in the park are entering the initial flowering period now, attracting a crowd of visitors. The plum trees are expected to be in full bloom around January 5, 2025.
