Guangzhou is set to enhance its role as a transport powerhouse within the Greater Bay Area (GBA) with the signing of a new framework agreement to develop the Huangpu High-Speed Railway Station on April 9.
Once operational, Huangpu Station will significantly reduce travel times: 15 minutes to downtown Dongguan and Zhongshan, 20 minutes to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and 30 minutes to central Shenzhen and Zhuhai. The station will also connect Guangzhou with major cities such as Fuzhou, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, and even Beijing via high-speed rail, with travel times ranging from three to eight hours.
Plans for the surrounding area include a mix of business, leisure, cultural, and research facilities, creating a vibrant urban gateway that blends industry and lifestyle.
