The annual "Yangcheng Night Market" night consumption season in Guangzhou was officially launched on the evening of April 22, 2024. This event marks the commencement of a city-wide initiative to stimulate nighttime economic activities, with the introduction of the first batch of 15 designated metropolitan-level night market zones.

Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street
Located in the Hualin Subdistrict of Liwan District, the Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street was inaugurated in September 1995 as China's first commercial pedestrian street. It stands as Guangzhou's most well-preserved and extensive arcade-style traditional commercial street.
